Rebels of the Moon is welcoming trans, gender non-conforming and women folks ages 12-15 to participate in our first ever outdoor backapcking adventure on the Long Trail!

Over the course of a week we will participate in activities that promote self-resilience, wellness and connection to nature.

Camping

Rebels will be camping under the stars learning wilderness skills to help empower and ground us in the Vermont wilderness.

Rebels will learn to build flint and steel fires, set up emergency forest shelters, identify plants and enjoy the thrills of outdoor living.

dedication to Gender Inclusivity

Rebels of the Moon is a place of gender inclusivity. This means we will be respecting and honoring campers pronouns and identity that aligns most with the individual. At Rebels we do not separate camper tents based on sex assigned at birth. As a community we use the full spectrum of pronouns (she,he,they,ze). Tent assignments will be based on a survey rather than gender and pronouns. This means housing will be mixed gender. We do this to create an environment of love and support.

BackPacking

Rebels will learn how to live with what they can carry on their back! Together we will activate our bodies, minds and self relience as we travel along the Long Trail.

We will be learning Wilderness Emergency Medicine along the way to encourage saftey and indipendence.

Fire roasted meals!

Rebels will be learning how to cook over the campfire. They will take turns working together to prepare the group three fire cooked meals a day.

Our focus as group is treating food as medicine for our body, mind and spirit.

KATRINA aLDEN (tHEY/them/she)

Hello! I am the founder of Rebels of the Moon, I have a background in mental health, outdoor therapies, yoga and wilderness emergency medicine.

For me being a Rebel means recognizing self love is an act of revolution. When I take care of myself I am able to help heal and guide others. I am a Rebel because I dare to question the idea that we are not enough. I believe we all have incredible passions and visions to offer this world. Rebels are here to see, support and foster our greatest potentials with love, community, nature and movement!

I am a Florida enthusiast currently living in New York City. I have a background in social work, gender, and education. I love to travel, learn, and explore. I am happiest when I am genuinely connecting with others.

For me, being a Rebel means to embrace yourself fully and shamelessly. I believe that collective community love and honesty is one of the most powerful tools for peace.

Hiya! My name is Georgia. My mission as an artist is to ignite play and inquisition for myself and others through the evolutionary principles of adaptation and variation. I bring experiences of performing arts, rural and emergency medicine and leatherwork.

To me, being a rebel means dedicating time and energy to the practice of self love while practicing stewardship for the biodiversity that surrounds us. Rebels know that when we care for ourselves & the natural world, we are more empowered and capable of building and uplifting our communities.

We will be following all Vermont CDC regulations this summer. All program is outdoors socially distanced and masked.
